چکیده

OBJECTIVE To investigate the association between ratio of negative/positive lymph nodes (RNP) and other clinic pathological parameters. STUDY DESIGN Descriptive study. PLACE AND DURATION OF  Faculty Medicine, Cumhuriyet University, Sivas, Turkey, from February 2008 to December 2019. METHODOLOGY Consecutive 119 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, who underwent gastrectomy D2 node dissection, were included. RNP, clinicopathological parameters such as tumour grade, type lymphovascular invasion (LVI) analysed, their prognostic impact was investigated. RESULTS RNP an independent factor for overall survival (p = 0.003) significantly associated poor <0.001). Advanced pathologic T N stage, presence perineural (PNI), LVI, high diffuse-type per Louren's classification, number negative also (all p <0.05). Although stage <0.01), PNI LVI classification grade <0.01) in univariate analyses; only gender 0.025), 0.037), 0.028), 0.006), of  meaningfully a multivariate analysis. CONCLUSION The can be used marker cancer, undergo curative resection, alternative stage. Key Words: Stomach neoplasms, Lymph ratio, Prognosis, Gastrectomy, nodes.

The lymph node ratio as an independent prognostic factor for node-positive triple-negative breast cancer

BACKGROUND We aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of the lymph node ratio (LNR) in patients with axillary lymph node-positive triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). METHODS The prognostic efficacy was investigated in the first cohort from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) dataset (n=4114) and was further validated in an independent cohort from Fudan University Shanghai ...

The lymph node ratio as an independent prognostic factor for non-metastatic node-positive breast cancer recurrence and mortality.

PURPOSE To examine the prognostic value of lymph node ratio (LNR) in pathological nodal (pN) stage breast cancer patients. Also, to analyse additional clinical and pathologic prognostic factors and the impact of LNR among molecular subtypes. METHODS Among a total of 3088 patients, 1004 women with non-metastatic lymph node-positive breast cancer were analysed. The patients were classified into...

Lymph node density as an independent prognostic factor in node-positive patients with tonsillar cancer.

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to evaluate the utility of lymph node density for predicting the survival of patients with tonsillar cancer and positive neck nodes. METHODS We reviewed data for 64 patients diagnosed with tonsillar cancer with lymph node metastasis in a retrospective single center audit. RESULTS Lymph node density (≥0.05), extracapsular spread (ECS), number of ECS (...

Vascular invasion as an independent prognostic factor in lymph node negative invasive breast cancer.

INTRODUCTION Identification of simple and measurable prognostic factors is an important issue in treatment evaluation of breast cancer. The present study was conducted to evaluate the prognostic role of vascular invasion in lymph node negative breast cancer patients. METHODS in a retrospective design, we analyzed the recorded profiles of the 1,640 patients treated in the breast cancer departm...

Lymph node ratio is an important and independent prognostic factor for patients with stage III melanoma.

INTRODUCTION The incidence of melanoma is dramatically increasing worldwide. We hypothesized that the ratio of metastatic to examined lymph node ratio (LNR) would be the most important prognostic factor for stage III patients. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed our institutional database of melanoma patients and identified 168 patients who underwent lymph node dissection (LND) for stage III ...
